 Mechanical Versus Functional Ankle Instability

The purpose of this webinar is to review the differences between mechanical and functional instability of the ankle and to facilitate the appropriate recognition and treatment of these distinct entities. Over 90 percent of patients with functional ankle instability can be successfully rehabilitated without the need for surgical intervention. Who requires surgery? What constitutes failure of non-operative care and what are the subtle contributions to a successful clinical course of management. We will review the current diagnostic and therapeutic approaches as supported by current evidence-based medicine.
